Free easy wi-fi. Very accommodating chef. On a bus stop for the city centre (parking in the centre is very expensive). Friendly staff.
Room had "modern" furnishings, including a wardrobe rail which a short person could not reach. No hangers for trousers. Minimum sized shower cubicle. Too much traffic noise. Too much noise from bar customers underneath the room window.

Very comfortable stay and good friendly staff. Easy to find from City By Pass and then handy for buses to town.I feel that some of the comments on the website were unjustified and they almost put me off - but am very glad I ignored them as it was good
No full length mirror in bedroom

The Northfield House Hotel provided us with the ideal accommodation for shopping and going out in Edinburgh City. The bus 31 stopped outside and took just 20 minutes to Princes Street. Cab was less than £10 - perfect! The breakfast was generous with a selection of cereals, followed by toast and finished with the full works! If that was too much they kindly took my request of just scrambled eggs. The room was light, spacious and with a very comfy bed! Drinks from the bar were reasonably priced what more could you ask for other than Sailor Jerry's :)
Carpetted bathroom!!! Small (ish) shower

The hotel is using ikea furniture mostly. It is very clean, comfortable and staffs friendly. Breakfast can be arranged even if you plan to leave as early as us in 6am. Bus to the city of Edinburgh is just across the road. It took us less than 10 minutes driving to the city centre and 15 minutes to the airport. Private parking is just under your window, perfect for travellers who perfer driving.
Water pressure is not very high, but it's kind of common in many hotels or B&Bs in the ten places we've stayed during our visit to Scotland.

The bed was great, room was very clean and spacious. The staff were very friendly.
Noisy at night from the road. Perhaps provide some earplugs. My gf noticed the noise but I slept soundly. The carpeted bathroom meant it smelled like mold post shower and the carpet was a wee bit soggy. It was not a bad thing just a bit odd.

It was on a good bus route which fitted in with my meeting place. It was good value for money in an expensive city.
